WELCOME!
The Woodcroft Golf Club was established in 1986, and was the first golf association without real estate to be sanctioned by the Carolinas Golf Association. WGA exists to provide players an opportunity to play competitive golf at the better courses in the Triangle area. While we try to have a relaxed atmosphere, we expect people to know and abide by the rules of golf, respect their fellow competitor’s/teammate’s right to a fairly contested competition, to post all of their scores in an accurate and timely manner, and to play expeditiously. Members must play at least one event per year to maintain their membership.
During the season, we conduct a number of one-day tournaments, a 3-day event in August and a four-day Myrtle Beach outing in October. WGC tournaments are customarily stroke-play individual and team events. We also have three season-long competitions where the top three finishers in each event are awarded club credits and the winners receive a trophy:
-
Golfer-of-the-year: based on performance in our monthly events,
-
Club Championship: an optional round robin and single elimination match play tournament,
-
Most Improved Golfer: a measure of which members improve the most over our golf season.
Members must play in at least 5 events to be eligible for the annual awards.

WGC welcomes new members and members are encouraged to bring guests to our events. Moreover, we welcome your suggestions for making improvements!!
